Christie Lake Regatta

Christie Lake Regatta

Our regular season may be over but we wanted more, so we went looking for more, and we got more!

On September 23rd, select members from each of the Paddlers Anonymous team united to compete once more in a regatta full of laughter and excitement. The Christie Lake regatta not only brought the club closer, but it also reunited the club with an alumnus, an old friend from the past to help steer, and we happened to recruit a brand new paddler!

Together, we discovered the trickiness behind the “Capture the Flag” race; survived a nail biting close encounter in the “Back It Down” race; shared some laughs in the goofy “Upside-down Paddle” race; and toughed it out together in a 2000m race. And to top it all off, Paddlers Anonymous took home 1st place in the 200m B division!

This was surely one to remember. Well done Paddlers Anonymous.  See you on the waters next year!
